Basically, a bunch of US students are going to places all over the world this summer to represent America in the best way they can possible. The program was started by Dwight Eisenhower to ensure that countries would be able to understand one another in the hopes that it could eliminate political conflict.

My friend is one such student and she is fundraising by decorating notebooks to sell. The contest is for taking a picture of how people plan to raise funds and she is a finalist. So please, vote for her!

September 10 is Suicide Awareness Day, so to commemorate the day in respect and support of those who have attempted, succeeded, or even thought about suicide, people wrote “love” on their arms.

Okay, I think this may be one of my favorite black and white photos that I have ever taken. I am really in love with the silhouette of the mountain there in the back, and I like how the couple is off to the side, walking along the winding path they’re on. I’m really proud of this one ^_^

One day, my mom dragged me to go walk with her in the mountains.

I saw some car tracks in the dirt trail, and I liked the pattern they left in the dust, so I got down close and personal to take the picture. I couldn’t find the one in color, so here you have the black and white one! (It still looks pretty cool, though.) I like how the shadow falls over the top right corner.
